01 January 2010 The Strathdearn Cup Saturday 8 November 1986 – Strathdearn Cup Second Round – Skye Camanachd 6 Caberfeidh 0 Skye Camanachd went into this tie missing several key players but those called into the team by manager Archie MacDonald certainly didn’t let the side down. Skye got off to a good start when full forward Ally “Mhor” Morrison (Portree) gave them the lead after 12 minutes. John MacRae doubled the Islanders advantage with a goal just 2 minutes later and Skye never really looked back from this point. A really well taken effort from Ally “Mhor” Morrison (Portree) gave Skye a 3-0 half time lead. A rasping 35 yard Ally “Digg” MacDonald drive just 5 minutes into the second half made it 4-0 to the home side. Skye introduced young juvenile player Davie Pringle on the hour mark and he didn’t disappoint as he added 2 more goals to give his side a convincing 6-0 victory. Skye now had a Strathdearn Cup semi final against Glenurquhart to look forward to. |
