The 2010 Scottish University Shinty International Squad for the shinty / hurling match against the British Universities Hurling All-Star Squad has been named.

The players were selected following the University North v South trials by Scotland coach George Hay.

Dundee University player Donald Irvine will captain the squad whilst Skye Camanachd’s Alan Palmer is vice captain.

The squad also includes Skye Camanachd’s Jamie MacDonald, Kinlochshiel brothers Keith MacRae and John MacRae, Kyles Athletic’s Grant Irvine and Lovat’s James MacPherson.

The match takes place on Saturday 30 January 2010 and after being hosted in England last year, the 2010 clash will be played at the Balgownie Playing Fields in Aberdeen.

The Scottish players will meet at the Jury’s Inn, Aberdeen on Saturday 30 January 2010 before heading for the game.
