Fort William Shinty Club has announced that Peter MacIntyre will be their new first team manager.

As co-coach with Dave Stafford in 2006, MacIntyre delivered Fort Williams first and only National Premier League title. The only time it has been wrestled from Kingussie’s grasp. The Fort finished that particular season a point ahead of second place Newtonmore with Kingussie 4 points behind he champions in third place.

However the were beaten in the final on both the Camanachd Cup and MacTavish Cup by Kingussie.

MacIntyre takes over from Drew MacNeil who won the Camanachd Cup as first team manager in the last 3 consecutive years.

He will be assisted by Willie MacDonald who has been involved both on and off the field with their second team in recent seasons.
