06 December 2009 Skye Camanachd went top of North Division 3 following their 6-4 win at Kincraig. This match was influenced by a strong wind which aided the home side in the first half. However it was the visitors who took the lead on 10 minutes through John MacRae. The remainder of the first period was played in the Skye half as Kincraig used the wind to their advantage. They lead 3-1 at the break thanks to a Donnie Ross hat-trick. Skye had the benefit of the wind in the second half and the used this to immediate effect when John MacRae scored his second almost straight from the throw up. Ally Morrison (Portree) made it 3-3 before MacRae completed his hat-trick with a great individual goal as he dribbled past 4 defenders before tucking the ball into the back of the net. Skye manager Archie MacDonald introduced teenage Donald “Donjee” MacLeod in place of Angie Murchison with Ally Morrison (Portree) moving to full forward. The move paid off immediately as Morrison netted his second and John MacRae scored his fourth moments later to make it 6-4 in Skye’s favour.
