Memory Lane – Season 1986 / 87 – Part 9. | |
01 December 2009 The Skye Camanachd second team moved into second equal place in North Division 3 following a 2-2 draw at Beauly. Beauly had plenty experience in their side with Skye capitalised on this let-off and Ronnie Reid shot home from the edge to the penalty area to level the game. Skye went ahead following a great individual effort from Ally MacInnes. The young forward finished off a strong solo run from the left by slotting the ball into the back of the net to give Skye a 2-1 interval lead. Beauly were not to be denied though and MacLennan netted his and Beauly’s second goal on 69 minute. This was a hard earned point for Skye and they were well served by keeper Columbo Nicolson and the centre line of Ally Grant, Ally “Mhor” Morrison (Kyleakin) and Bodach MacKenzie. Skye had a home meeting with Newtonmore to look forward to next. |
