Archie MacDonald made it a twin Bernisdale appointment by taking on the role of second team manager. Calum Murchison recalled Shorty Murchison to the first team following a period working away from home. He also stated his intention to include Archie MacDonald was able to call on the skills of Andy MacLean in the second team. MacLean, a former Strathclyde Police player, had Bernisdale connections and went on to win a Camanachd Cup winners medal with Skye in 1990. The start of the season could not have been much harder for Skye Camanachd. The first team travelled to the Dell to take on reigning North Division 1 champions Kingussie whilst the second team also took on the Kings – who were also reigning North Division 3 champions - at the King George V Playing Field, Portree.
