Camanachd Association Express “Disappointment” At Kyles Decision. | |
20 November 2009 The Camanachd Association has expressed disappointment at Kyles Athletic’s decision not to travel north to play their Scottish Hydro Premier Division match against Kingussie at Beauly’s The fixture was transferred as Tighnabruaich was unplayable, and the second choice pitch at Dunoon was also unavailable. Kyles Athletic have been deducted 2 points for failing to fulfill the fixture and the match has been rescheduled for Saturday 5 December 2009. A spokesperson for the Camanachd Association said “It is disappointing that Kyles Athletic have refused to travel north to play the fixture, as the Byelaws of the Association state that if the ground of a team becomes unplayable the Association can propose an alternative venue, which was what has happened on this occasion. Had the match gone ahead, the destination of the Scottish Hydro Premier League would have been decided tomorrow (Saturday 21 November 2009)” |
