12 November 2009 Championship and relegation issues are the main focus in the Scottish Hydro Premier Division on Champions Kingussie were to head for Tighnabruaich to play Kyles Athletic this weekend. However the pitch is unplayable and the match has now been switched to Invergarry. Kingussie have a 2 point advantage in the league but Newtonmore have one match in hand. Kingussie also have a 5 goal difference advantage. However if this weekend’s fixtures go ahead, Newtonmore could have the advantage of knowing exactly what they need to do in their final match. The Kings will be without the suspended Ally MacLeod in what is their final match. They will certainly be boosted by last weekend’s derby victory but they lost to Kyles at the Dell in the league this season and they were knocked out of the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup by the Tighnabruaich men at Ballachulish. Kyles still have hopes of finishing in third place in the league. Challengers Newtonmore are also in action this weekend as they head for Inveraray take a big step towards top Division survival if they take something from this weekends meeting with There is a local derby in Marine Harvest North Division 2 as Glengarry head up the A82 to play In Marine Harvest South Division 2, Glenorchy and Strachur meet at Dalmally.
