Martin Pleased With Scotland U21 Showing. | |
02 November 2009 Scotland U21 Head Coach Donnie Martin was pleased with his side’s performance in the narrow 10-11 defeat to The Scots raced in to an early 8-1 lead before losing out to a late 2 point strike which gave the Irish victory. Martin said, “We were very pleased with how the boys performed. We built up an early lead although the Irish came back strongly at the end of the first half and at the beginning of the second half. We probably didn’t take enough of our 2 point opportunities at a time in the game when we could have put the Irish out of site.” It’s understood that Martin and his coaching team would be keen to continue in their roles for next season’s internationals if this was the wish of the Camanachd Association.
