02 November 2009 Fraser MacKenzie announced that he is to stand down as Scotland Head Coach following the thrilling shinty / hurling encounter with This brings to an end a period of 6 year’s involvement on the shinty / hurling scene for MacKenzie with Saturday’s last gasp defeat to the Irish being his only loss. MacKenzie said, “I spoke to the players after the game and told them of my decision to step down. I have been involved for 6 years now and I feel I won’t be able to commit the same amount of time to the game now as I am doing more and more skydiving. I want to start BASE jumping as soon as I can so I will need to get a lot of jumps in next year.” Match report to follow. |
