| 22 October 2009 The Scotland U21 side looks to be set for a tough test in the shinty / hurling international at Scotland U21 coach Donnie Martin has had a chance to assess the opposition and he said, “It looks to be fairly formidable Irish squad. Only 4 or 5 players played in last year’s international but as far as I can see, there is plenty of experience with 8 players at full age.” Paudie Butler has stepped down as Irish manager this year after a period of success in the post.
