| Fraser MacKenzie’s Delight At Attacking Options. | |
| 13 October 2009 Scotland Senior Head Coach Fraser MacKenzie is delighted at his attacking options ahead of the shinty / hurling international against MacKenzie enthused about his options in the forward line in the recent training session against a University hurling side. “It is an absolute dream to have a forward line with players such as John Stewart, John MacDonald, Gary Innes, Ronald Ross and David Cheyne,” he said, “We had two players - Alan Mackenzie and Hector Whitelaw - on holiday so we brought along John MacDonald, who is one of the reserves. He understands and accepts why he was not included in the squad but this was just down to circumstances outwith any of our control and he was in touch all the time. He would be one of the first picks in any shinty team so we decided to take him to the warm up game. If there are any injuries, he would be in a good position as he can fit into the centre line or up front. We do have other reserves though who have the same chance of being called up.” The | |
