Scotland Head Coaches Happy With Training Sessions. | |
13 October 2009 The Scots played a University hurling side made up mainly from students from Senior Head Coach Fraser MacKenzie said, “The session went very well. It served its purpose and I am feeling confident with the squad. I wanted the players to play a game together to try and gel and to experience playing a hurling team so they will ease into the actual game better on the day of the international.” MacKenzie added, “I started with Jamie Gannon in goal so as he would gain more experience before the international. It was a convincing win with some breathtaking, flowing shinty that worked well with our formation.” U21 Head Coach Donnie Martin was also satisfied, saying, “The match was very useful and allowed us to try out a number of things in terms of our formation and our selection options ahead of the main international. The session was well attended and that’s always important.” The |
