Kincraig Pull Out Of Marine Harvest North Division 3. | |
10 September 2009 Kincraig have withdrawn from Marine Harvest North Division 3 because of team raising problems in the second half of this season. The Badenoch side had been forced to concede 5 away league fixtures ahead of last weekend’s home match against Ardnamurchan. Speaking in this week’s Strathspey & Badenoch Herald, club secretary Lee-Anne Meldrum said that the club had a fantastic committee but they couldn’t get sufficient commitment from players and were disappointed to have had to take this decision. “I would like to stress that Kincraig Shinty Club are still very much an ongoing and active club as we have a fantastic junior squad with around 20 youngsters coming to training on a Wednesday night. We are just not competing at senior level for the duration for the remaining of this season.” She added, “We will endeavour to give senior shinty another go next season and hopefully bring a few of our youngsters into the squad. We just feel that they are a bit too young just now.” I’m sure all shinty clubs wish Kincraig well in their efforts reorganising for next season. |
