The 102nd Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final between Fort William and Kyles Athletic takes place at Mossfield, Oban on Saturday 19 September 2009.
The man given the honour of refereeing this year’s Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final is Ronnie Campbell from Fort William.
Campbell is one of the games most experienced and respected referees and he takes charge of the final for the second time. He previously refereed the 2002 Camanachd Cup Final between Kingussie and Inveraray at the Bught Park, Inverness which the King’s won 3-2.
Ronnie Campbell was named 2008 Marine Harvest Referee of the Year he said “I am obviously delighted to receive the honour of refereeing my second final and I look forward to a good hard, but fair, match with plenty of excitement and goals.”
The Goal Judges are Billy MacLeod from Drumnadrochit and Billy Wotherspoon from Oban. David Mitchell from Edinburgh will be the fourth official.
The 2009 final throws up at 1.45pm and will be broadcast live on both television and radio. Television coverage will be on BBC2 Scotland and radio coverage is on both BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio nan Gaidheal.
