The Skye Camanachd B U14 side travel to Uist on Friday 28 August 2009 in the final round of fixtures of the Development section which includes Lochcarron and Uist.

Unfortunately Lochcarron are unable to make the trip but Skye, who have already qualified as group winners, will meet Uist in what will be an historic occasion.

With the Skye Camanachd A U14 side also playing on the same night, this match gives some younger players the chance to sample U14 shinty.

The players should all be at Portree High School for 8.15am on the Friday morning so that they can set off for the ferry on time. The team will be accompanied by youth coaches Ruaraidh MacVicar and Alasdair Bruce.

The trip will involve an overnight stay in Lochmaddy and an early return to Portree on the Saturday morning.

Players are required to bring appropriate kit for a one night stay - not a one week stay – and kit should include shinty gear - stick, boots, guards etc and a water proof jacket and towel will also be of use.
 
A small contribution of £10.00 per head towards costs should be paid on the day to Alasdair Bruce.
