| Scotland U21 Shinty / Hurling Trials. | |
| 03 August 2009 The final area trial for the 2009 Scotland U21 Shinty / Hurling international squad took place at Dalmally on Sunday 1 August 2009. This trial was not as well attended as the Skye & Wester Ross / Inverness-shire and Badenoch / Lochaber trials but it did allow Scotland U21 Head Coach Donnie Martin and his assistants David Stafford and Ted MacDonald the chance to see the eligible players in action. Players have also been watched in club matches already this season. The management team will select a squad of 35-40 players this weekend and these players will then go on to take part in 5 training sessions. All players who have taken part in the original 3 trials will receive a letter informing them whether they have been selected.
