| Huge Ban For Oban Camanachd’s Liam MacIntyre. | |
| 28 July 2009 Oban Camanachd’s Liam MacIntyre received a huge ban from the Camanachd Association Disciplinary Committee for 2 recent sendings off. MacIntyre was sent off by referee Graham Cameron during the the 2009 Celtic Society Cup Final which was screened live on BBC ALBA. He had already served a 2 match suspension for this red card but he was reported to the Disciplinary Committee by the referee for squirting water at supporters on his way to the changing rooms.
MacIntyre was also sent off in last weekend’s MacPhee & Partners Macaulay Cup semi final defeat - also against Inveraray.
He has been banned for the remainder of the current season for both offences. Oban Camanachd have 10 league matches remaining and MacIntyre will start next season on 20 penalty points. | |
