The Wester Ross and Inverness-shire trials for the Scotland U21 shinty / hurling trials took place at Balgate on Wednesday 15 July 2009.

The trials, under the watchful eyes of Scotland U21 Head Coach Donnie Martin and his assistants Ted MacDonald and Dave Stafford and was a very successful event with 31 players taking part.

Skye Camanachd had 6 players on display – Steven Morrison, Ally MacLennan, Jamie MacDonald, Kerr Gibb, John Moir and Alan Palmer.

The Kinlochshiel players will take part in the Lochaber area trials which take place on Wednesday 22 July 2009. The venue for these trials has been changed and they will now take place at Spean Bridge with a 7pm start.
