The Skye Camanachd second team are back in action on Saturday 27 June 2009 following a 4 week absence, when they make the short journey to Kirkton to play Kinlochshiel in Marine Harvest North Division 2.   

Skye Camanachd second team manager Davie MacVicar has made 7 changes to his squad for a variety of reasons. The side’s last outing was a heavy defeat against league leaders Glenurquhart in Portree and MacVicar names a young squad in an attempt to get back on winning ways.

Captain Ross Graham is a long term injury absence and he joins Peter Gordon, Angie MacDonald and Neil John Campbell on the sidelines. Stewart Grant is on holiday and Donnie Campbell and Allan MacKinnon are on first team duty.

Defenders Martin Bruce and Andrew Banks return and Shockie MacLennan’s presence will also boost the squad. Iain MacPherson, Paul MacKinnon, Robert Urquhart and Jordan Murchison are also included. There is still one further player to be added to the squad.

Five members of the Skye team – Shockie MacLennan, Danny Morrison, Neil MacVicar, Paul MacKinnon and Martin Bruce - will travel to Ireland next weekend as part of the Scotland U17 Development squad and 8 of the squad are still eligible to play U17 shinty. 

Kinlochshiel also have a young side a 4 of their starlets – Zander Grant, John MacRae, Duncan MacRae and David Falconer – are also in the Scottish U17 squad.
