| Tulloch League Update. | |
| 25 June 2009 Portree Primary School will now play Kingussie Primary School in the Tulloch League National Final on Saturday 27 June 2009 following a bizarre turn of events today. Portree Primary School reached the final following their 3-1 win over Kingussie Primary School in the Tulloch League North Final earlier this week. Rockfield were to be the South representatives after they beat Srachur 7-1 in the South Tulloch League Final. However Rockfield indicated to the Schools Camanachd Association that they would be unable to take part in the National Tulloch League Final at Lovat's Balgate pitch on Saturday 27 June 2009 as they were unable to raise a team. This handed the title to Portree but the Islanders were keen for a final to take place and so Davie Anderson's Kingussie side agreed to step in at the last minute to ensure that a Tulloch League National Final goes ahead. The final at Balgate throws up at 12.45pm. Portree and Rockfield have already met this season in the MacKay Cup Final in Oban which Portree won 8-1. | |
