| Portree Primary School Win The MacKay Cup. | |
| 31 May 2009 Portree beat Inverlochy 10-1 in the first round. They then had a walk-over against Fort William RC who decided not to travel to Portree. They saw off Tomnacross 11-0 at Kirkton in the North semi final and beat Lochaber 13-0 in the North Final. This means that they have scored a total of 42 goals in their 4 matches and have only conceded 2 goals. They first won the tournament in 1974 when they beat Caol in the final. It was another 31 years before Portree were to win the competition again, beating Park 2-1 in Oban. They beat Rockfield in the final last year and repeated their success against the same side this year. Portree Primary School from; I.P.
