Several Portree Primary School players will be out to win their second MacKay Cup winners medal, having also played in the team which won the tournament last year.

However captain Will Cowie will be out to win his third MacKay Cup winners medal as the youngster not only played last year, when he won the Anne Cameron Memorial Quaich for being the man of the match, but he also started in the 2005 Final aged only 8 years old.

His father Willie Cowie was part of the Portree team which won the 1974 Final which means that the Cowie family could have 4 winners medals by Saturday afternoon.

Portree Primary School will play South winners Rockfield Primary School in the Final – a repeat of the 2008 Final.

The 2009 MacKay Cup Final will take place at Mossfield, Oban with a 12.30pm throw up.
