Portree Primary School have reached the MacKay Cup Final on 3 previous occasions and have won the competition each time.

They first won the tournament in 1974 when they beat Caol in the final. It was another 31 years before Portree were to win the competition again, beating Park 2-1 in Oban. They beat Rockfield in the final last year and are ready to set out for Oban once again in hope of winning the competition for the fourth time.

Portree Primary School will play South winners Rockfield Primary School in the Final – a repeat of the 2008 Final.

The 2009 MacKay Cup Final will take place at Mossfield, Oban with a 12.30pm throw up.
