Glenurquhart 3 Skye Camanachd 0. | |
18 April 2009 Skye Camanachd went down to a three goal defeat to North Division 2 table toppers Glenurquhart at Drumnadrochit on Saturday 18 April 2009. Calum Fraser gave the home side the lead after 25 minutes and he added a second after 53 minutes. Ross MacAulay completed the scoring 15 minutes from the end. Skye’s Willie MacRae hit the bar in the first half but most of the pressure was towards the Skye goal. On the plus side for Skye, 14 year old Jordan Murchison made his debut for the second team, coming on as a second half substitute and he showed some nice touches. The defeat leaves the Islanders with only one win from their first five league matches. However it is worth remembering that Skye’s defeats have come against the current top four teams in the league – Glenurquhart, Lovat, Skye Camanachd from; Ross Graham (captain), David Grant, Andrew Banks, Martin Bruce, Kieran Roberts, Stewart Grant, Tom Butler, (Malky Munro), Scott Martin, (Iain Grant), Danny Morrison, Willie MacRae, (Jordan Murchison), Allan MacKinnon, Angie MacDonald |
