Skye actually gave a better account of themselves than the scoreline suggests. There were periods of play, particularly at the start of the second half, when they had great possession but they could not turn their possession into goals.

Fort William on the other had were at their clinical best up front and posed the Skye defence all sorts of problems.

The Fort had a 5-0 half time lead and followed this up with two more goals in the second half. James Clark scored 4, including a penalty, Gordy MacKinnon bagged a double and Drew Ferguson scored the other.

Fort William have a home match against Lochcarron in the second round of the competition.
