| Skye Camanachd Player Recovers After Surgery. | |
| 22 March 2009 Skye Camanachd second team player Neil “Beans” MacVicar is recovering in MacVicar suffered a blow to the face during last Saturday’s 4-2 defeat against Kingussie at the Dell. He sustained a double fracture of the jaw which also required internal and external stitches. He was due to operated on during Saturday evening but this was delayed until the Sunday morning because of another priority case. Doctors are pleased with how the 2 hour operation, which required 2 plates to be inserted into the jaw, has gone and Neil hopes to be released from hospital on Monday 23 March 2009 to continue his recuperation at home. Everyone at Skye Camanachd passes on their best wishes to Neil and messages of goodwill have been received from other shinty teams too. | |
