21 March 2009 The Skye Camanachd second team went down 4-2 in a battling performance at The Dell against Kingussie in Marine Harvest North Division 2 on Saturday 21 March 2009. Skye Camanachd got off to a great start when Keith MacKenzie gave the visitors the lead within the first 10 minutes. The Kings equalised 20 minutes later through Craig Dawson. The home side took the lead from a controversial penalty awarded against Skye keeper Ross Graham. They increased their lead before Angie MacDonald pulled a goal back for Skye. Kingussie scored again before the end with their final 3 goals coming from Liam Drummond Rory Borthwick and a second goal from Craig Dawson. Skye suffered an injury blow when Danny Morrison picked up a first half ankle knock and he had to be replaced. However worse was to follow when Neil "Beans" MacVicar took a blow to the face and had to be rushed to Speaking on Cuillin fm after the match, manager Davie MacVicar was not too despondent about the result and he praised the performances of defenders Andrew Banks and Martin Bruce and Iain MacPherson in the midfield.
