The annual Georgie Michie Memorial Cup will be played for at Pairc nan Laoch on Saturday 21 March 2009.

The trophy will be contested in a football match between a Skye over 40s select managed by Slippy Finlayson and a Bernisdale over 40s side. Many of the players in action were former football and / or shinty team mates of George. 

George Michie was Skye Camanachd's first team captain when he passed away in November 1981. He was one of the Island's most talented footballers and shinty players and his death was a great loss to both sports.

The match kicks off after the Marine Harvest North Division 1 match between Skye Camanachd and Beauly - at approximately 4.30pm.
