Portree Primary School recently took possession of a new set of shinty strips courtesy of Morrison Windows, a local double glazing and joinery company.
The picture shows Norman and Carolyn MacKinnon of Morrison Windows along with employees Rory Mackenzie and Mark Broughton handing over the strips to the school’s Head Teacher John Finlayson and a group of pupils from P5 - P7.
John Finlayson said, “We are very grateful to Norman and Carolyn for their support and the strips will make the school team look very smart as they attempt to defend the MacKay Cup in 2009. He also expressed his thanks to local coach Willie Cowie for his help in orchestrating the purchase of the strips.”
