Skye Camanachd has announced that Angie Murchison is to be their new first team manager.

This will be Murchison’s third spell in charge of the club. His most notable success was when he was manager in 2000 and Skye Camanachd won North Division 1 and promotion to the Marine Harvest Premier League for the only time.

Skye Camanachd chairman Ross Cowie said “We are delighted to have someone with Angie’s experience back at the helm. I’m sure he will be able to build on the success of last season”.

Murchison is a former Sutherland Cup winner with Skye Camanachd and has represented Scotland at U21 level. He will be a popular choice amongst the players and he will start planning for the season ahead straight away. His initial thoughts will include who should assist him in managing the side.

Skye Camanachd has already organised a series of pre-season friendlies in preparation for the new campaign.
