Ballachulish and Inveraray were beaten by the weather again as they attempted to play the final Marine Harvest South Division 1 fixture on Saturday 13 December 2008.

This clash was to determine whether Ballachulish could pip Tayforth for the final place in the 2009 MacAulay Cup.

In the end both Ballachulish and Inveraray agreed to share the points meaning that it’s Tayforth who go forward to host Bute in the MacAulay Cup first round. This completes the whole 2008 senior shinty programme.

Lochaber hosted Fort William in an U17 clash at Spean Bridge and that match did beat the weather. It was the Fort who ran out 3-2 winners in a 5 goal thriller to take the advantage in a group which also includes Skye Camanachd and Kilmallie.
