Glengarry have won the Women’s National Division 1 Championship after they defeated Glasgow Mid Argyll 2-0 in a play-off at the Eilan, Newtonmore on Sunday 26 November 2008.

Both teams had finished their league campaigns on 12 points each and this was the second successive season that the title has been decided by a play-off.

The sides had met on 4 previous occasions in the last year and honours were level with 2 wins each.

In a terrific match, Fenella MacRae and Sarah Corrigal scored the vital goals for Glengarry.

Laura MacKay and Elaine Wink turned in brilliant performances in defence for Glengarry as they kept the Mid Argyll attack at bay.
