01 November 2008 There was shock in the shinty world this week at the news that the Camanachd Association were to investigate claims of racial abuse was directed at a Glenurquhart player in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 clash with Kilmallie. The abuse is aledged to have been directed against Glenurquhart's Eddie Tembo who starred for Scotland in the recent shinty / huring victory over the Irish. Camanachd Association President Duncan Cameron said at last week's Club / Member meeting in Kyle that the Camanachd Association were "bound by law" to act in such instances as racial abuse is a criminal offence. Speaking to the West Highland Free Press, Tembo said " It's not something I've heard for a while, although it was a tough game and a lot of things can be said in the heat of the moment. I try not to let it bother me and I've left it to the club now."
