21 October 2008 There are some exciting matches scheduled across the leagues for Saturday 25 October 2008. Three matches take place in the Marine Harvest Premier League. At the top of the league, The main focus in the top division will be on the relegation battle between The Marine Harvest North Division 1 programme will be completed this weekend when Lochcarron host Kilmallie. Whatever the result, the home side will finish 4th and the visitors in the runners-up spot. In Marine Harvest North Division 2, Kinlochshiel host champions There will be an exciting finale at the other end of the table as Newtonmore play Lovat and Lochaber host Glengarry. Lovat travel to the Eilan to play a Newtonmore side who are still smarting from their 3-2 defeat in Portree against Skye Camanachd. A point would secure Lovat’s survival, although even if they lost, Lochaber would still have to win at home to Glengarry by a number of goals to secure their safety at the expense of the Balgate side. In the league’s other match, second place Kilmallie host 7th place Caberfeidh in their final game of the season. After this weekend, the only remaining fixtures in Marine Harvest North Division 2 all involve In Marine Harvest North Division 3, champions Glenurquhart travel to second place Boleskine in both sides final game of the season. The Glenurquhart first team lost their final game of the season against Kilmallie after winning Marine Harvest North Division 1 and their reserve side will look to continue their great goal scoring form and avoid a similar fate. The final match in this league will take place two weeks later when Ardnamurchan host Kincraig. In Marine Harvest South Division 1, champions Glenorchy travel to 3rd place Kilmory. Second place Glasgow Mid Argyll host 4th place Lochside Rovers. In the league’s other match, second bottom Ballachulish host Inveraray, who sit a place above them in the league. |
