The GAA have announced the squad for the Senior Shinty / Hurling International against Scotland on Saturday 18 October 2008.
The senior international takes place at Nowlan Park, Kilkenny at 3 pm. The ladies Shinty/Camogie match will preceed the senior match at Nowlan Park, Kilkenny at 1.30pm.
Manager, Lester Ryan has named a very strong Senior squad which includes local boys Derek Lyng, Tommy Walsh and Eddie Brennan from All-Ireland champions, Kilkenny as well as Cork’s Seán Óg Ó hAilpín. The panel also includes three representatives from Carlow’s Christy Ring Cup winning side, Des Shaw, Edward Coady and Shane Kavanagh, who captains the side as well as Dermot Clarke and Michael Gilmartin from Nicky Rackard Cup winners, Sligo.
