This week's Oban Times asks Scotland captain Kenny Ross whether any shinty players could cut it in the fiercely competative world of hurling?
Ross believes shinty would compare well. "The one player that instantly springs to mind is Ronald Ross because he has the hand-to-eye co-ordination and goal scoring ability which would attract top hurling clubs but there are other boys in shinty whose style of play would lend itself well to hurling but they would need to be more committed and train to hurling's high standard of fitness."
