Portree Primary School won the North of Scotland Primary School Sixes at Pairc nan Laoch on Saturday 20 September 2008.
A total of 9 teams took place in the competition which was played on a round robin basis, giving each side a guaranteed 8 matches. The top two league sides were to play out the competition final.
Portree won 7 of their 8 league games, with their only draw with last year's winners Banavie.
St Mary's, North Skye and Lochaber fought it out for second place with St Mary's pipping North Skye by a single point after performing well throughout the tournament.
The final was a fine spectacle with St Mary's keeper Gary MacKay making some great saves.
A swerving 30 yard shot from Portree's Willie Cowie won the game. Keeper Mackay did well to get a hand to the shot but he couldn't keep the ball out of the net.
Cowie had a great final for Portree and captain Stevie MacKinnon was a rock in defence throughout the competition.
