Skye Camanachd B record a great 1-0 win against Ardnamurchan in their North Division 3 clash at Pairc nan Laoch.
Having lost 5-1 to Ardnamurchan earlier in the season, this was always going to be a tough test for Skye.
However the islanders opened brightly and Jordan Murchison shot just over after 8 minutes. Two minutes later Skye keeper Ian MacLeod saved well with his feet from a 30 yard shot by Ardnamurchan's Sandy Corrigan.
Skye took the lead after 14 minutes and it was Jordan Murchison fired in a knee high shot from 25 yards.
Willie Cowie had a low shot saved by Ardnamurchan keeper Kenny Harper but the Skye forwards didn't react quickly enough to the rebound.
The rest of the half was end to end as both teams entertained the crowd with displays of flowing shinty.
Andrew Grant had a shot saved by Harper 15 minutes into the second half and just minutes Skye were awarded a penalty for a kick inside the D. Willie Cowie's penalty was well hit but Harper pulled off a terrific save above his head.
Sandy Corrigan continued to press for Ardnamurchan but he found Ally MacLeod and Liam Tonagh in determined form in the Skye defence.
Stewart MacSween and Andrew Grant worked hard against the older, bigger Ardnamurchan defenders and Willie Cowie played some clever balls forward from the centre line.
Top performer for Skye was Ally MacLeod who was excellent at buckshee back.
This was a thoroughly entertaining match and Skye will be pleased to have come away with both points from this tricky fixture.
