06 September 2008 All eyes are on Fort William for this Saturday's Scottish Hydro Electric Camanachd Cup Final between Fort William and Kingussie. Both sides warmed up for the final with convincing wins in the Marine Harvest Premier League. The midfield battle will be a vital part of the contest with Fort William looking to supply James Clark and Kingussie looking to feed the prolific Ronald Ross. Fort William are the current Scottish Hydro Electric Camanachd Cup holders after beating Inveraray 3-1 in last year's final. However the 2006 final in Dunoon was also between Fort William a Ronald Ross inspired Kingussie with the Badenoch giant running out 4-2 winners. Match referee is Colin MacDonald from Oban with Charles Young from Ballachuilish and Angus MacFadyen from Coal as goal judges. The match throws up at 2.45pm and will be shown live on BBC2 Scotland. Also on Saturday, An Aird will host the Scottish Hydro Electric National Development Final between Strathglass and Aberdour. This match throws up at 10.45am and will be refereed by David Stafford. Following on from the Development Final, Fort William and Oban Camanachd will contest the Ken MacMaster Cup Final which has a 12 noon throw up and will be refereed by Duncan Kerr. |
