The South Win Ladies and U21 Matches. | |
02 August 2008 The South have taken the honours in the Ladies and U21 matches, winning both games 3-2. The Ladies match was switched to Kilmallie's Canal Parks in the Saturday morning as the heavy rain made it too risky to hold 3 matches on the Spean Bridge pitch. Skye Camanachd and Glengarry Girl's ace Sarah Corrigall played for the North but it was the South who ran out winners by 3 goals to 2. The South U21s repeated the the South Ladies success when they also beat their North counter-parts 3-2. Ballachulish's Scott Henderson was the South hero with a hat-trick whilst Kevin Bartlett of Caberfeidh and Drew Ferguson of Fort William replied for the North. Skye Camanachd pair Steven Morrison and Ally MacLennan played well for the North side for whom Lochcarron's Mark Sproule was a stand out. |
