Skye Camanachd 2 Lochcarron 1 | |
01 July 2008 Skye win local derby to stay in the mix at the top of North Divison 1. Skye have made a habit of poor starts in games this season and this was no exception. They failed to deal with a ball into defence and allowed Kenny Ross to put Lochcarron ahead after only 3 minutes. Ian Nicolson leveled the game when he crashed a great 20 yard drive into the roof of the net. Wing centre Kerr Gibb went one better when he hit a terrifc 30 yard shot to give the Islanders the lead. Skye had chances to make the points safe but Darren Coyle almost snatched an equaliser at the death. This was a well deserved win for Skye and lines them up nicely for their Balliemore Cup semi final clash against Glenurquhart on Saturday 5 July 2008. |
