Calum MacInnes Wins Primary Shinty Award. | |
26 June 2008 Portree Primary School full back Calum MacInnes has won the much coveted Caberfeidh Electrics Cup for being the top shinty performer in the school. Calum has had a terrific season at full back for a team which has won the North Fisherman's League, the Bank of Scotland Cup and the Isle of Skye Round Tables Sixes. He also played a major role in the school's recent MacIntyre Cup win over Tulloch Scottish League Champions Kingussie and MacKay Cup success where he was outstanding in the final against Rockfield. He beat off other fine performers in the school this season such as Jack Latton, Willie Cowie, Andrew Grant and DJ Gilpin. Although Calum lives in Kilmuir, he rarely misses shinty training in Portree and he will now be looking to secure a place in the Skye Camanachd U14 B team for their Development League and Division 3 matches. |
